Maps from Year 1! All together!

Our final bicycle tour route that first summer (2010) was quite different from our planned route. Although planning ahead is good, being able to change, adjust, re-evaluate, and make decisions on the spur of the moment is even better. You are on a bicycle, and bicycle touring can be unpredictable - enjoy the freedom.

Our maps are imprecise, mostly because for much of our trip we were on bicycle routes that were on special bicycle paths. We can't create maps on those routes, yet, because Google maps doesn't recognize them as roads. But this'll give you an idea.

Here are the maps, one after another, that are contained elsewhere in this blog. If you want to hear about how each day was, click on the link below the map and you will be in the regular blog section of the site, looking at the same map. The more recent blog posts (above the map) will talk about the map, except the first one! Alternatively, feel free to write to us if you have any questions or need advice.
